Fortrip

Introduction

Fortrip gives AI agents hotel search, live offers and orders. Your agent finds and prices the stay; the user reviews the terms and pays.

What you can do

  • Search hotels in a city, region or country, near a place or point, or by name or brand, with an indicative price per room and night.
  • Read a hotel's details: address, time zone, check-in times, the full description, its policies, amenities and rooms.
  • Get live offers for up to 15 hotels: the room, the meals, the total in USD, fees payable at the property, cancellation terms and how the booking is confirmed.
  • Order an offer and have the user pay it one of the ways the order offers; then follow the order, cancel it under its terms and list past orders.

Offers and orders are for stays of 1 to 15 nights, with up to 8 rooms of the same party. Orders are charged in USD. Stripe's page may let the user pay in their card's local currency at Stripe's rate. Prices can also be shown in CNY as a labelled estimate. Flights, activities and changes to existing orders are not supported.

Ways to connect

All of them give the same capabilities and sign in with a Fortrip account.

How an order works

  1. Search for hotels and get hotelIds, with indicative prices when you give a stay. Indicative prices can't be booked.
  2. Get offers for the hotels the user likes. Each offer has an offerId and expires at its expiresAt.
  3. Order the chosen offer with the guests and a contact. You get an unpaid order: the total, the stay, its terms and the ways it can be paid. If the price or terms changed since the offer, you get offer_changed with every change instead.
  4. Confirm the total and terms with the user, then have them pay one way:
  • Payment link: The user pays on Stripe Checkout, reached through a Fortrip page. A card is held until the hotel confirms, then charged; a method that can't be held is charged at once and refunded in full if the hotel can't confirm.
  • Link shared payment token: The amount is held until the hotel confirms, then charged; if the hotel can't confirm, the hold is released.
  • Alipay or WeChat Pay: Charged at once when the user pays; if the hotel can't confirm, the payment is refunded in full.

Nothing is charged until the user pays or approves a token. See Orders and payment for when each way applies, and every field in Response schemas.
